Hamarosan jön Colin új filmje,a Parked! :D Egy angolul készített twitter interjút sikerült nektek leszednem,a szövege nem túl nehéz,remélem fordításra nem lesz szükség,de ha mégis,csak szóljatok...

Aztán hoztam még néhány képet a Parked-ből,remélem tetszenek. :)

Yesterday was the screening of the movie “Parked” from Darragh Byrne, starring Colm Meany and Colin Morgan. The movie is in the Official Competition of the 9th edition of the Brussels Film Festival (22/06 - 29/06).

For the occasion some members of the team came to Brussels. It was an opportunity for them to answer, after the screening, the question of the public.

As we’ve notice that the movie, and the appearance of Colin Morgan, is having quiet a good audience on Twitter, we gave the opportunity to Twitter users to ask any question via this channel.

That was a last minute tweet, not long before the end of the movie… However, many of you did react quickly, knowing that they were not followers of our account!

Most of the questions, as expected, were specifically for Colin. He was very patient and took the time to read with us our Timeline, tweet after tweet, in order to give an answer.  

His role in Merlin

First of all, as Colin Morgan is first known thanks to his role on Merlin, one tweet was about it:

Colin confirmed that on Season 4 the storyline about the friendship between Merlin and Gwen will be explored… 

Let’s talk about Parked

Then we started to read the tweets with questions about his role on Parked:

At first a question making a bridge between the two roles: 

Colin said that actually the two roles are so different from each other that he can’t really say which one is the most difficult. His role in Merlin is based on fantasy while in Parked, his role is based on reality. Those two opposite worlds have their own specificities.

Then, we focused on tweets where you were more specific, and where you wanted to know about the way he prepared himself for the role.

 

The same question was asked by the public present at the screening. 

Colin didn’t give details about all he’s doing to get prepared. He said that he believes each actor/actress has his/her own way to get prepared mentally, and as for the physical part of the preparation, it depends on the role. Nevertheless, and as @iknowotsmad seemed to have in mind, Colin explained that part of the preparation is based on research before playing.

 

And we can read that some of you have good information about those researches: 

Colin confirmed that point as part of the researches for the role. The purpose of approaching drug addicts was to be sure to be close to the reality, but also to make sure that the way the subject is handled by the scenario is not offensive to (ex) drug addicts. Of course, it also helped to make sure it’s as close as possible to reality.

Talking about preparation, the question of his accent on the movie vs. his native accent came trough: 

To get prepared to the Dublin accent, Colin explained that he spend some time in Dublin and he also get the help of a Dialect coach. Colin explained that there’s some difference between his native North Ireland accent and the Dublin one. But he believes it’s less complicated for him to get the accent of Dublin than an accent from England or Scotland. 

Then, a question about the filming itself:

Colin answered to that question by reffering to a scene where he’s hanging out by the roof of the car. Filmgoar will recognize it when they’ll be at the cinema: it’s in the middle of the movie…

And via Twitter, a question to Director, Darragh Byrne that he took the time to answer directly:

And still, Colin thought that one of the funniest scene is an exterior car park scene! 

And what about the future?

As we were going slowly to end our discussion with Colin, it was time to talk about the future. 

First the future of Parked itself, to get to give you the opportunity to watch it! 

As the Producers of the movie (from Ripple World Picture), Dominic Wright (@dominicwright) and Jacqueline Kerrin (@jackerrin), were also present at the Festival, it was then much easier to asked them…

The release for UK and Ireland will be on November 2011. Then in March 2012 it will be in the USA. It is already planned to release the movie in other countries, but the dates of those releases are not yet confirmed. 

Then, about Colin’s future career:

Colin said “Yes! It’s challenging!. Of course, it will still depend on the script. But if the script is good, it’s a challenge I would love to take”.

While we were at the work he has to do to get the Dublin’s accent, someone wanted to know: 

Colin answered that, again depending on the script, he’ll be willing to play a movie where he would use his native accent.  

The quality of the script and the interest Colin would have on the story is a key to understand what plans he’ll be willing to accept for the future. This was also the center of his answer to the following question: 

Colin said in a “cri du coeur” that he would love to play in New York! That’s one of his dreams…

But yet again: still depending on the scenario or the play. If the story is good he’ll accept to play anywhere in the world. If this “anywhere” is New York… then it will be a “cherish on the cake” for him.

Let’s talk about Twitter

Naturally, as you are on Twitter, you had some question about the fact that Colin do not have a Twitter account.

Colin understood very well the frustration people may have while he’s not on Twitter. But he said that the fact that in few minutes we had so much question shows how difficult it will be for him to handle a Twitter account, as he will certainly have a lot of questions, but wouldn’t have the time to read them and not to speak about answering them. This situation will certainly cause a bigger frustration to people. 

Of course, he could use the services of a professional who’ll answer for him on his official account, but he believes that it’s not the purpose of Twitter and not what you expect him to do. 

Funny question

Colin laughed to that question, but didn’t give any answer…. 

We do really hope that you are satisfied with the answers given by Colin Morgan, but also by Director Darragh Byrne and Producers Dominic Wright and Jacqueline Kerrin.

Egyelőre ez a 3 kép van,amely a Brüsszeli FilmFesztiválról készült,ahol Colin a Parked-ot "reklámozta". (Jobb szó híján ezt írtam xD)

Parked will have a 2nd screening at the Brussels Film Festival on 26th June at the Centre for Fine Arts, 8pm. Tickets will be available on the Bozar website soon.

Amit ebből kihámoztam: A Parked második vetítése,a Brüsszeli Filmfesztiválon június 26-án a Centre for Fine Artsban reggel 8-tól lesz. A jegyek hamarosan elérhetőek lesznek a Bozar weboldalon.

Sajnos 3 nappal késtem a hírrel (épp akkor utaztam el) . :P
